April 20-28 was Idaho's "Unplug and Be Outside Week". In lieu of Earth Day, the community planned free daily activities for families to reduce screen-time and explore the outdoors.
Saturday, April 21, we rode our bikes to the park to eat "dirt in a cup". After we explained we were eating cookies, pudding, and gummy worms, the girls were happy and excited to go.
Tuesday was free fishing at Ryder Park. We attempted to catch a fish, but alas, it wasn't in the cards.
Thursday, Dustin took his class to Freeman Park to play frisbee golf.
Friday, Dustin took the girls to the park to make pinatas, but it was cancelled due to snow and wind. So much for being outside!
Saturday, Dustin and the girls went to the rodeo grounds to make and fly kites. The weather cooperated and fun was had by all.
