Easter

The girls woke up early to open their Easter baskets.  They were very excited.  They got a game, nail polish, lip gloss, and money.

After the morning session of General Conference we drove to Idaho Falls to have lunch and an egg hunt with cousins.

Elaina found her eggs fast, and it was a good thing too since it was kind of cold.

The younger girl cousins went out by themselves so the older cousins wouldn't get all the eggs first.

Betty hard boiled eggs and glued each of our pictures on them.  The family had an egg-rolling contest.

And then in true Heath-Brother fashion they made a second game out of throwing eggs into a garbage can...and hitting Uncle Jared.

Afterwards Uncle Jared gave a lesson on the Resurrection of our Savior.  Libby said this was her favorite part about Easter.

Baby Hazel and I walked around the house, and she fell asleep.

Christmas Morning

We made it to Arizona in time for Christmas Eve.  We ate soup for dinner and had a musical/nativity program with the Richey's, Richards', and Peters'.

Christmas morning we opened stockings while waiting for Great-Grandma and Grandpa Peters to wake up.

Let the unwrapping begin!

Elaina got a coat, an MP3 player, a baking set, and a DigiBird.

Libby got a lot of Doc McStuffins toys and a nice dress from Great-Grandma Peters.

Dustin was excited about his new golf clubs.  My parents and grandparents bought him a generator, but had it shipped to our house.

Libby got a putting green to practice her strokes.

My mom, grandma, and sister all went in and bought me new dishes.  After 11 years of marriage it was time for some replacements.

Heath Christmas Party

The Sunday before Christmas we drove to Idaho Falls to eat dinner and exchange gifts with the Heath family.  The girls helped Grandma make cookies for the cousins to frost.  The Westfall's stopped by to give the girls presents.

Elaina got a little crazy with the flour.

We ate soup and rolls for dinner.

And listened to Grandpa read a story.

The cousins drew names and Benji gave Elaina a Jazz basketball hoop.  Aunt Heidi sent her a Jazz blanket, and Grandma gave her art supplies.  She was very happy.

The adults had a white elephant gift exchange: a "nice" one and a gag one.

Thanksgiving

Dustin and I decided we needed to host Thanksgiving at our new house.  We invited two of his brothers, their families, and the sister missionaries.

Uncle Dusty showed the kids how to make turkeys out of Oreo cookies.

Halloween Festivities

On Wednesday night our ward had a chili cook-off and trunk-or-treat.  

Elaina wanted to dress as a minion, but since her costume didn't arrive on time, she settled on being a Jazz fan with her dad.

Libby dressed as Doc McStuffins and her friend, Gunner, was Jack Frost.

The girls got to keep 10 pieces of their candy and trade the remaining for a toy of their choice.

On Friday I helped with the girls' class parties.

The school had their annual Halloween Parade, and Libby was chosen to be the leader and the one who began the parade.  She was thrilled.

That night we went trick-or-treating with some friends around the ward boundaries for a couple of hours.  As least it was a warm night!

4th of July

 After spending two nights in our new house we hopped on a plane to Arizona to spend The 4th with Grami and Grandpa Richey.

Dustin and the girls have never understood why The 4th was my least favorite holiday when I was younger, until now.  We lit fireworks in Grami's backyard, in between going inside the air conditioned house to cool off.  This year was one of the "cooler" 4th's that I remember, at a whopping 97 degrees.

We also had a great view of the firework show at Schnepf Farms, a couple miles away away.  The girls weren't too disappointed to miss the show up close because we saw a firework show in Rupert a few days before.

Christmas Day 2013

We think it a cruel joke that Elaina's pump alarm went off at 3am due to a low battery.  The girls were so excited to see the filled stockings in the living room, but we told them they had to wait until 7:00 to open them.  We have no idea what time they went back to sleep.

Libby got a new MP3 Player.  She's been singing Kelly Clarkson all day.

Libby got dressed, listened to a book on her MP3, and sat next to Starburst the Horse.

After opening gifts we went to the rehabilitation center to visit Great-Grandpa Richey.  My sister brought her keyboard and we sang carols in Grandpa's room.
