Afternoon at the Zoo

Lainey's been asking to go to the zoo, so we finally went today. The weather was great and we had a great time. Nice idea Lainey!

Libby kept asking to see the monkeys so we went there first. This little guy hopped on the tree near the glass and made Libby jump. Luckily Dad had a firm grip on her.

Lainey got a kick out of this monkey. He was entertaining us with somersaults and toys.

We named them "Kevin" because they sounded like the bird on the movie "Up".

There was a new baby zebra at the zoo.

It took some coaxing to get Libby to sit on this lion. She thought it was real.

Lainey couldn't wait to brush the goats and loved every minute of it.

Surprise Surprise! We asked Libby if she wanted to go in the goat pen and she said yes. My baby who screams when cats or dogs are near because she's terrified wanted to brush the goats. Dustin and I were dumbfounded! I was taking pictures every minute to document this unbelievable event.

Libby was so brave and actually enjoyed herself. She brushed and petted the goats and didn't cry. Way to go Libbs! This was a major break through in the animal department.

Ahh, this zoo is exhausting!
